1.    Activity focus and purpose:

    To continuously enhance the quality of the student feedback questionnaire used as a research instrument for English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) courses at the College of Dental Medicine, and to gain a deeper understanding of students’ learning experiences and perceptions of EMI courses, Professor Zuway-R Hong, the questionnaire designer, will be invited again to provide academic consultation and guidance. The workshop aims to further strengthen the comprehensiveness and rigor of the questionnaire analysis and subsequent qualitative research.
    By integrating quantitative analysis with qualitative data, the workshop is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding of students’ learning attitudes, experiences, and factors influencing their participation in EMI courses. The findings will contribute to a deeper evaluation of EMI teaching effectiveness and serve as a reference for future course adjustments, quality enhancement, academic research, and manuscript preparation for publication.

2.    Activity Content: Workshop

Building on the previous discussions and findings regarding factor analysis and item reduction, this workshop will review and discuss the quantitative analysis results of the revised questionnaire to assess the appropriateness of its structure and analytical outcomes. Prior to the workshop, students will be invited to provide written responses based on the qualitative interview guide. During the workshop, these responses will be analyzed and discussed to identify key areas of inquiry and to refine the content and procedures for subsequent face-to-face qualitative interviews.
