ABOUT THE PROGRAMS
Kaohsiung Medical University is the center of medical education and care in southern Taiwan. Since its establishment, the school has been with the mission of "cultivating medical professionals, caring for people's physical and mental health, and caring for vulnerable groups," carefully abides by the core values of "respecting life and pursuing truth," and also put the vision of "top medical university with social influence" into mid and long-term school affairs development plan for the 110~113 academic year which include：

Among the above, the internationalization aspect puts more emphasis on "expanding international tentacles and grasping the pulse of the world," hoping to keep creating "local internationalization," deepen the internationalized learning environment on campus, extend the field of practice to the world, and cultivate global mobility Professionals with international competitiveness.
The establishment of a bilingual country in 2030 will accelerate the development of bilingual education in higher education. In view of the fact that our school is a medical university, in the process of promoting bilingual learning, the college must not only adhere to the quality of running schools, stabilize the pass rate of students’ national examination certificates, and adhere to academic values. The mission is to face the acceptance of all-English teaching by teachers and students in the hospital and the pressure of bilingual professional talent cultivation under global competition.
According to this, in order to strengthen the all-English teaching support system of each college, our school has set up a task-oriented dedicated promotion unit, "Bilingual Teaching Promotion Resource Center," in conjunction with the implementation of the "Program on Bilingual Education for students in College ", and taking the medical school as the leading college, gradually construct the relevant policies of the bilingual learning system, and then gradually promote it to all colleges. With the full participation of the heads of administrative and teaching units, it will play a role in demonstrating and strengthening all the teaching staff, and stimulate the inner motivation of the teaching staff. At the same time, supplemented by subsidies/incentive measures to promote the continuous injection of bilingual teaching reform and learning innovation into the school.
In addition, combined with the "implementation of teaching innovation and improvement of teaching quality aspects" and "development of school characteristics" of the 2022 Higher Education Deep Cultivation Plan, integrating strategies such as：

*Englishization for General education courses, basic common courses, and
professional courses

*Cultivation of foreign students to serve as EMI TAs
