1. Activity focus and purpose:

Attracting and supporting international students is a key strategy for advancing internationalization in higher education. In December 2024, the Ministry of Education updated the Program on Bilingual Education for Students in College, emphasizing the importance of creating an internationalized environment to attract overseas students to study in Taiwan.

In response to this national policy, the College of Medicine is committed to enhancing its recruitment strategies for international students while strengthening faculty members’ capacity to guide and support them effectively.

This event features Dean C.N. Hsu from the College of Life Sciences, who will share his extensive experience with the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP). Over the years, Dean Hsu has led professional training programs for talented overseas youth, showcasing the strengths of Taiwan’s higher education system. His efforts not only highlight the advantages of studying in Taiwan but also inspire international students to pursue master’s or doctoral programs at Kaohsiung Medical University.

By sharing Dean Hsu’s valuable insights, this event aims to support the College of Medicine in fostering a more inclusive and supportive international learning environment. It also seeks to build faculty members’ confidence in mentoring international students, laying a strong foundation for the college’s future internationalization efforts.
