1. Activity focus and purpose : To inspire teachers’ passion and creativity in EMI teaching and to sustain and expand this enthusiasm. We sincerely invite faculty members who have participated in the training to share their insights and reflections. Through open exchange, we aim to explore how to create more enthusiastic and more engaging EMI classrooms. We also hope to encourage more educators to embrace diverse, innovative, and international teaching approaches, working together to open up greater possibilities for cultivating the next generation of globally minded medical professionals.
2. Activity features and implementation : This course series was designed with practicality at its core, encouraging teachers to share their takeaways and real-world applications from EMI training. It provided a platform for discussing challenges and innovative approaches in EMI teaching, promoted cross-faculty interaction, and helped build a supportive teaching community. The program also fostered institutional consensus, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of EMI-related policies and resources, while motivating hesitant faculty members to take their first step into EMI instruction. Participants demonstrated strong curiosity and active classroom engagement. Many teachers reported gaining new perspectives on diversified teaching practices and collaboratively explored alternative assessment standards. The course also addressed strategies for enhancing student participation, fostering self-directed learning, and guiding critical thinking—approaches that were highly valued by the participants. Overall, the course significantly increased teachers’ interest in EMI methodologies and reflected the medical school’s professional commitment to EMI development, laying a solid foundation for more solid training programs in the future.
