2.          Activity Features and Implementation

Course introduction
This course is an advanced EMI TA training program, primarily open to teaching assistants (TAs/ATAs) employed by the university. Through the learning process, participants will enhance their ability to use the CLEAR model in English-Medium Instruction (EMI) classrooms to create high-connection, high-engagement, and high-comprehension learning environments—making meaningful learning truly happen. Let’s move forward together with CLEAR and guide the way!

In recent years, the university has been progressively promoting English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI). Therefore, this course is designed to help TAs and ATAs better understand how to apply the CLEAR model and serve as an important bridge supporting both instructors and students in EMI courses.

Teaching Methods
What makes an EMI class truly work?

Not just content. Not just English.

But connection.

This workshop invites EMI TAs to rethink their role—from supporter to facilitator, from helper to learning bridge. Through practical strategies and the CLEAR model, you will learn how to create meaningful moments, engage students, and support their journey toward mastery.

Because behind every successful EMI classroom, there is someone making learning possible.
