1. Activity focus and purpose: With the growing number of international academic exchanges in the College, properly hosting our guests has become increasingly important. Being able to introduce our country, city, university and departments fluently and confidently not only showcases our students’ professionalism but also supports the goals of the national bilingual policy. To help students build strong English communication skills, the College launched the Student Ambassador Training Program in the 2024–25 academic year. As part of this initiative, two comprehensive training sessions are being offered for students interested in becoming Student Ambassadors. The workshops are designed and led by Associate Professor Tun-Whei Isabel Chuo from the Center for Languages and Culture. They guide medical students using ChatGPT to explore techniques for delivering engaging English introductions to Kaohsiung and Taiwan. By combining AI-generated content with personal insights and expression, students will quickly learn how to create customized, authentic tour narratives. Participants are required to download the ChatGPT app and register an account in advance. Please bring a smartphone, laptop, or tablet to the session for hands-on practice. The two sessions share some overlapping content; students may attend either one or both.
