Students of the School of Dentistry and the Department of Oral Hygiene, College of Dental Medicine

1.     Activity Focus and Purpose:

Through this EMI competition, students of the College of Dental Medicine create tooth models using clay and label various tooth structures in English, allowing them to learn tooth anatomy and related professional terminology.

By engaging in the hands-on activity of “molding a tooth,” students gain a three-dimensional understanding of tooth morphology and structure, while practicing expression and communication using English for Specific Purposes (ESP). This process enhances their professional English proficiency and builds confidence for future clinical practice.

2.     Activity Content:
Participants will compete individually and must complete a clay tooth model within the designated time, labeling all major tooth structures using their full English names. The model should demonstrate accurate proportions and complete anatomical form. Upon completion, all works will be collected by the organizer and evaluated by the judging faculty. The top five participants with the highest total scores will receive awards as encouragement. Participants are also required to complete a self-evaluation form, which will serve as feedback for assessing learning outcomes and future reference.
