1.      Activity focus and purpose :

To align with the Ministry of Education's policy on English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI), experienced foreign teachers are arranged to lead small-group (10 people) English corner activities to enhance the confidence and competence of local teachers in using English as a teaching language. By creating a conducive environment and being guided by the foreign teachers, our school's teachers are provided with opportunities to improve their oral proficiency and confidence in using English.

2.      Activity Content:

The English corner for teachers starts with a weekly theme set by the foreign teacher. Participants first learn the meaning of English vocabulary related to the theme and then engage in practice exercises led by the foreign teacher. Participants are paired up and encouraged to have conversation in English. After the oral practicing, they are prompted to express the information they received from their partner to practice their oral proficiency.
