Target

Teachers (College of Medicine, College of Dental Medicine, and College of Pharmacy)

1.     Activity focus and purpose :

l   This activity aims to present the full English teaching situation through actual exercises. American scholar Keleigh M. Muzaffar and the school’s class observation committee are invited to serve as class observers. Through simulated teaching, we can gain an in-depth understanding of the teachers’ own preparation level for English teaching and the students’ Reaction to the course. At the same time, good and effective peer observation guidelines and evaluation standards are established through activities, laying a solid foundation for the training of EMI course teachers in our college.

l   In order to allow participating teachers to fully understand the implementation method, purpose and expected results of EMI teacher teaching simulation exercises, we plan to hold activity briefings and activity summaries before and after the activities to improve the learning effectiveness of participating teachers.

l   In order to understand students’ feedback and responses to EMI courses, we will hold 4-6 student training courses. Through these courses, we can further understand students’ needs for EMI teaching in order to better adjust teaching content and methods.
