1. Activity focus and purpose:
The “Academic Lecture on Recent Advances by Visiting Speaker Dr. Uei-Ming David Li” is organized with the aim of enhancing the academic standards in oral medicine for both faculty and students of the School of Dentistry, as well as strengthening the development of EMI teaching faculty. This lecture is designed to deepen students’ professional understanding of the thermomechanical processing of nickel-titanium rotary instruments through an English-medium presentation focused on emerging treatment modalities in dentistry. In addition, the event supports faculty members in mastering EMI teaching techniques and improving their bilingual teaching competencies, thereby enhancing overall instructional quality and effectiveness. To broaden academic impact, Dr. Wei-Ming Li, an expert in endodontics, has been specially invited to deliver this lecture and share the latest academic insights. 2. Activity features and implementation:
15 minutes: Attendees’ registrations and event briefing. 15 minutes: Welcome address and keynote speech by the chief. 60 minutes: Academic exchange session presented by Dr. Li. 30 minutes: Engaging Q&A discussion and communication with participants.
3. Quality indicators of activities
The academic knowledge exchange lecture co-hosted with Dr. Wei-Ming Li received high recognition from participating teachers and students. Participants expressed that the lecture content was rich and that the overall event was well-organized.
