1.      Activity focus and purpose :

To encourage faculty members to promote EMI teaching activities and to enhance the English communication skills of teachers, staff, and students, the College has organized the “On-Campus Foreign Instructor Program and EMI English Conversation Sessions for Faculty, Staff, and Students.”

This activity invites foreign lecturers to engage with the College’s faculty, staff, and students in English discussions on various topics, encouraging participants to share their personal perspectives and reflections. The goal is to improve participants’ English speaking and expression skills. The content is rich and diverse, closely connected to university life, and designed to resonate with students—further stimulating their motivation and confidence in practical English communication.

2.      Activity features and implementation :

This session focused on the theme of “Mind & Body,” exploring how small adjustments in daily habits can contribute to better physical, mental, and emotional wellness. Students shared in English their self-assessed scores in three areas—mental well-being, daily habits, and physical health—and explained the reasons behind their evaluations. Through learning and discussion, they gained a clearer understanding of how to balance academic demands, daily life, and emotional needs. The instructor also provided practical strategies such as maintaining a regular routine, practicing emotional awareness, and applying time-management techniques, helping students enhance their overall well-being and self-care abilities.

3.      Quality indicators of activities

    Thank you to the instructor for guiding the session. Today, we discussed many interesting English topics that we normally wouldn’t think about, and although I occasionally got stuck, it motivated me to reflect and look for better ways to express myself afterward. It was a great form of stimulation and practice. I also truly appreciate how the teacher listened attentively and responded patiently to our hesitant and fragmented English.
