1.      Activity focus and purpose :

l   This event, themed "Virtual Patient-based Oral Clinical Training and English Medical Record Writing (EMI)," featured the V-DxM Virtual Clinical System to support teachers in improving instructional design and course quality, while enhancing students' clinical skills and their ability to listen, speak, read, and write in medical English (EMI). Through the application of the system and the sharing of competition outcomes, participants gained insights into the challenges students encountered during practical sessions and discussed strategies for improvement to foster teaching innovation and the development of students' professional competencies.

l   The event encouraged teachers to develop and apply for teaching practice research projects to promote ongoing educational research. Professor Chun-Juan Tsai was invited to share insights on the application of the V-DxM system and provide guidance on research proposal writing techniques, helping teachers understand the application process and implementation details. Together, the participants explored future directions for teaching research, strengthening teachers' research capabilities, and advancing EMI instructional models through innovation and practice. This also provided support for future course design optimization and enhanced student learning outcomes.

2.      Activity features and implementation :

l  Explanation of system functions and analysis of EMI (English Medical Record Writing) competition outcomes.

l  Exploration of how to integrate the virtual system to enhance students' clinical skills and EMI (English for Medical Purposes) abilities.

l  Sharing teaching experiences on simulated scenarios, including surgical safety and crisis management.

l  Sharing the application process, writing techniques, and research directions for teaching practice research projects.
