1.      Activity focus and purpose :

To enhance teachers’ ability to deliver courses entirely in English and to optimize their teaching skills, the program offers in-depth guidance on teaching models, lesson plan design, and course-launch strategies to support their professional development.

2.      Activity features and implementation :

This all-English teacher training program effectively enhanced participating teachers’ confidence and professional competence in English-medium instruction. Through fully English-based teaching demonstrations and interactive sessions, teachers became more familiar with the pacing and language use required for English-taught classes, showing greater adaptability and confidence in applying these skills in real classroom settings. The course placed special emphasis on the structure and design of teaching presentations, helping teachers understand how to use visual elements—such as images, keywords, and icons—to replace lengthy text explanations. This approach enables students to grasp key points more easily and improves overall learning outcomes. Teachers also learned how to adjust their speaking speed and sentence structures according to students’ language proficiency, fostering better understanding and interaction between teachers and learners. Student participants responded enthusiastically throughout the process, actively providing feedback to the teachers during mock teaching sessions. Overall, the training not only strengthened teachers’ language proficiency but also encouraged the refinement and reflection of teaching strategies. It has positively contributed to the promotion of English-medium instruction and laid a solid foundation for creating an immersive English learning environment.

3.      Quality indicators of activities

Different speakers. Different story

Great event.

The course load is heavy, and there is a noticeable gap in the content that can be delivered by teachers using Chinese versus English as the medium of instruction. Time constraints also contribute to this issue.
