1.      Activity focus and purpose:

The “OEOW” Teacher English Teaching Oral Autonomy Training Community aims to help faculty members become more comfortable and fluent in using English naturally across both academic and daily contexts. By enhancing English-Medium Instruction (EMI) teaching quality, the community also seeks to increase teacher and student engagement in EMI courses. Recognizing that many experience anxiety or awkwardness when speaking English, the community provides a supportive and encouraging environment for members to participate in the “Only English in One Week” (OEOW) self-directed training experience. Each session features practical sharing from Language Center instructors on strategies for effective English communication, followed by peer exchanges on personal challenges and progress. Ultimately, the community strives to reduce fear and hesitation toward English speaking, foster an English-friendly campus culture, and create a sustainable foundation for successful EMI teaching.
