1.      Activity focus and purpose:

To enhance students’ English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills for the BESTEP English Proficiency Test, two enhancement courses—‘Listening & Reading’ and ‘Speaking & Writing’—will be offered in conjunction with the BESTEP exam in the first semester of the 2025 academic year. Students are encouraged to actively participate in the examination.

1.             I really enjoyed this course and hope there will be more similar activities in the future.

2.             The teacher went through each listening option one by one and asked us to translate them. This helped me realize that I have difficulty understanding certain linked sounds and common English expressions. I’m very grateful to the teacher for helping me identify the areas where I still need improvement.

3.             The course was very well organized, with interesting and engaging content, and the administrative staff were also very friendly.

4.             I’m very grateful to the department office for planning the course schedule so thoughtfully! Classes are not held on Fridays, and they also avoid scheduling on the evenings before long holidays. Attending this course doesn’t feel burdensome, nor does it conflict with preparation for block exams. I feel very fortunate to participate in this class!

The teacher always encourages us to speak English and express our opinions. At first, I was very shy and worried about speaking incorrectly or having an accent, but I really appreciate that the teacher gave guidance and encouragement in activities like self-introductions and debates. I can genuinely feel my speaking skills improving!

In addition, for writing, the teacher guides us to learn new vocabulary and use synonyms to make our essays more professional and enriched, and also provides feedback on our writing. I’m very happy to see progress in both my speaking and writing skills. Once again, I sincerely thank the department office and the teacher for their dedication!
