1.      Activity focus and purpose :

l   This activity aims to provide an authentic EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) teaching experience through practical simulation exercises. American scholars Keleigh M. Muzaffar and Elena Kelley, together with the University's classroom observation committee members, will be invited to serve as observers. Through simulated teaching sessions, participating instructors will gain deeper insights into their readiness for EMI instruction as well as students’ responses to EMI courses. In addition, the simulated EMI classroom environment will offer opportunities for instructors and students to engage in course delivery, teacher–student interaction, and peer learning. Through hands-on practice and real-time engagement, the activity is expected to enhance both teaching effectiveness and learning outcomes.

l   To help participating instructors fully understand the implementation process, objectives, and expected outcomes of the EMI Teaching Simulation Activity, two supplementary sessions will be organized: the Activity Orientation Session (May 5) and the Final Reflection and Feedback Forum (June 12). Through structured reflection, experience sharing, and professional feedback, these sessions aim to further strengthen instructors’ teaching application skills and maximize the overall learning effectiveness of the program.
