1. Activity focus and purpose : This activity will be held to promote invited lectures from overseas institutions and foster research collaboration. Professor Mary Jho-Anne Corpuz from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines will be invited to deliver lectures on Philippine natural products. This event will be conducted in English. This lecture can help students and faculty to explore the wide variety of natural products that are found in the Philippines. A lot of the known Philippine medicinal plants originated from folkloric and traditional use. The processing steps from raw material and how they can be formulated into actual products for use will be explored. Since the activities will be conducted in English, this will help improve the English understanding and ability of teachers and students and help prepare them for international cooperation. Since this activity also has a discussion session, it can also help students and teachers express their opinions more actively and express themselves better in English.
